I've never played Star Citizen. Can I start here?

Where do the prices and routes come from?
From the UEX community data, synced hourly into the Beacon's own database. The site never queries the external API in real time: it always reads from the local database, which ensures predictable latency and resilience even when the source fluctuates.
Do I have to pay to use Stanton Beacon?
